Nigerian and Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote and the Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has donated N200 million towards the federal government’s effort to curb Coronavirus spread in the country.
The foundation’s CEO, Zouera Youssoufou, announced this in Lagos on Tuesday.
The Dangote foundation donated N124 million towards prevention, assessment and response to health events at points of entry into the country, while N36 million worth of facilities would go to surveillance and other areas.
The foundation also pledged N48 million for case management and training of health workers in the country.
Youssoufou recalled that the Aliko Dangote Foundation had committed about N1 billion to the fight against Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Africa.
