Samini, a leading face who has defended and popularized Reggae/Dancehall in Ghana has called for all industry players to rally behind “Asaase Sound Clash” to make it successful.
In a heartfelt conversation with DJ Seani B on Asaase Radio 99.5fm, he stressed the need for all to see it as an initiative to strengthen ties within the Reggae/Dancehall community in Ghana as well as promote music tourism.
“This is the biggest thing to ever happen to Reggae and Dancehall in Ghana. And we must all embrace it to make it successful. I will be watching it from my base here in Canada. My children are fans of both headlong artistes — Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale. I look forward to an interesting #Clash2CrushCOVID”, Samini added.
He congratulated Asaase Radio 99.5fm for choosing his side (Reggae/Dancehall) to power a campaign to eliminate the deadly pandemic, COVID-19.
Samini, born Emmanuel Andrews Samini, holds an enviable consistent career spanning at least 20 decades and still counting.
